A 2,243m sacred mountain with a footprint-shaped rock at the summit — believed by Buddhists to be the Buddha's, Hindus Shiva's, Christians St Thomas's. The torchlit night climb up 5,500 steps to reach the summit for sunrise is one of Asia's most moving travel experiences.
